Window into My World

We took the kids to see some Christmas lights the other night. First, we stopped at a Japanese restaurant for supper. The last time they had been to one, Jacob was a newborn, so they didn't really remember it much. They were fascinated by the chef cooking in front of them, but when he started breaking the eggs for the fried rice, Jacob started getting upset. He covered his eyes and wouldn't look and kept saying, "oh! Oh no! Oh!" When we left, Rebekah smiled and said, "I like the Mexican restaurant. But I don't want to go back again." I think the fire freaked her out a bit. And she thought everyone there was Spanish speaking. I guess in her world, there are only two languages- English and Spanish and two kinds of restaurants...regular restaurants and Mexican restaurants.

The kids ooed and ahhed over the Christmas lights as expected. Rebekah was thrilled with every Christmas light, but especially the Courthouse's lights in downtown Fayetteville. They had the lights simply outlining the roof of the courthouse. Her eyes lit up and she exclaimed, "Mommy, those are my FAVORITE! Look how ORSGANISED they are." She is all about "orshganizing" things lately after all. :)
